Since the time of Julius Caesar, campaign furniture has been designed and made to be easily broken down and transported on military campaigns providing comfort and elegance to life abroad, also referred to as life "under the canvas".
This campaign chair is modeled after colonial British furniture of the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries and made of Kikar wood, a small and thorny tree grown in India, and distressed buffalo leather. The simple frame folds up nicely for transport and houses to features including pivoting joints, leather support strips and a reclining back.
