This is not your classic denim jacket. It is made of 12.5 oz, 98% cotton and 2% Elastine, indigo Japanese denim that has been painted black. It's details include a front placket with seven tarnished buttons, the 3rd from the top being inverted for subtle styling, an action back with internal elastic banding that moves the pleated shoulders back into place, two chest pockets with buttoning flap closure, two hand pockets and a straight hemline with two-button adjustment tabs at the side seams.
NOTE: the black paint finish may bleed or wear off on to other items.

With a focus on unconventional functionality, finishes, engineering, fit and wearability, Beta Unit is an independent clothing label based out of Encinitas, California. As a small group of designers who grew up in the 80's and 90's, inspiration is drawn from the unintentional art caused by imperfections and limitations within technology as seen in primitive computer graphics, ancient photography, broken fax machines and malfunctioning code. |
