Got a light? Yes we do. Just in at Blackbird are our new Kasimir and Mastermind lighters. Inspired by Russian avant garde art, these lighters burn hot like the flame said art movement was during the deep freeze of Stalinist Russia in the late 1920's and early 1930's.
The Suprematist school of Russian art philosophy was strongly influenced by a theoretical 'grammar' based on fundamental geometric forms; in particular, the square and the circle. Critics derided it for reaching art by negating everything good and pure: love of life and love of nature. The artists' response to this was that art can advance and develop for art's sake alone, regardless of its pleasure and that "art does not need us, and it never did".
