Based on the smell of Christopher Brosius's grandfather, particularly the sawmill in which he worked and the stone house in which he lived, this scent is far and away the most easily accessible to the Blackbird contingent of boot and moustache-toting Americana enthusiasts from our new throng of CB I hate perfumes. Right out of the gate the smeller is met with a familiar note of dirt, accompanied by green-tinged notes of fresh hay and scattered drops of dew. Recently cut sawdust floats through the air. As we approach the body of the scent, the focus begins to shift away from the environment, and instead more towards the personal details of the man who was Brosius's grandpa: The tobacco smoke billowing from his old-fashioned pipe, his worn leather work gloves coated with resins and stained green from years of use, and the cotton of his garb with the occasional spill of axle grease. The result is a markedly masculine concoction that manages to be fresh and light without sacrificing it's rugged charm.
