Al Oudh is L'Artisan's eponymous Oudh (Agarwood) fragrance. After spending some time with the scent, the one thing we can say is who would have thought a fragrance named after a wood could possibly smell so animal! Al Oudh comes out blazing with the savory essence of Oudh, a wood held to the highest esteem since the beginning of civilization. This most sacred substance is complimented by another of history's greatest successes, leather, before it opens up to reveal it's more subtle layers: a background of mixed florals surrounded by dried fruits and spices, fading into smoke. We're fans of the myrrh, and we've gotta say, the sandalwood, tonka bean, patchouli, civet, and castoreum really make this carnal pleasure one of the sexiest things we've had the pleasure to get a whiff of.
